Breeding characteristics of special wild boar

Adaptable and successful breeding of special wild boars are suitable for both captive and stocking, and they are particularly adaptable to stocking better than captivity. Adapted to the various climates in the north and south of China, in contrast, its heat resistance is better than cold resistance. In summer, special wild boars were transported from Xiangshan Port in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province to Urumqi, Xinjiang. The temperature reached 38°C. After 5 days and 5 nights of high temperature, they all arrived safely and there was no death. In winter, they were transported from Xiangshan Port to Ningxia City of Gansu Province, and the temperature was low. To minus 28 degrees Celsius, after 4 days and 4 nights of cold weather, it is safe. This shows that special wild boars have better adaptability to harsh conditions such as prolonged bumps, fatigue, extreme heat, and severe cold than ordinary domestic pigs.

The wild pigs with stronger disease resistance have better vitality and resistance to disease than ordinary pigs. Under stocking conditions, except for injury, there is very little incidence, and after captive breeding, affected by the external environment, the prevention and treatment of epidemics must be strengthened.

Good group gregarious activities such as wild boars and groups of foraging, and group management, should be grouped in management, and should not be monocultured. In addition to boars and farrowing sows, they need to be raised under reasonable density.

Defensive strong wild boars have stronger defensive reflexes than domestic pigs, but the response is far less intense than wild boars. It is the most tame new breed of wild boar, suitable for farmer rearing, factory rearing and stocking, but still with domestic pigs. There are differences, such as timidity, alertness, and frightenedness. The ability to overcome obstacles is stronger than that of domestic pigs. Very few individuals are aggressive toward strangers. After littering, sow nurses are more protective than domestic pigs. Therefore, in the construction of the barracks, the height of the grid bars should be 1.2m to 1.4m. In feeding and management, it is necessary to reduce the stress and build up feelings with the pigs.

Omnivorous wild boars have a wide range of food habits and have a stronger ability to use green roughage than domestic pigs. In the grain structure, green feed is indispensable, and various types of agricultural and sideline products can be used. Feed sources are very extensive. The feeding behavior of special wild boars is different from that of domestic pigs, with low intake during the day and large feed intake in the evening.

The orderliness of the life of special wild boars is more prominent than that of domestic pigs, and conditional reflexes are relatively stable. Therefore, regular ration, positioning and quality determination of special wild boars should be paid attention to in order to ensure the health of herds.
