Be careful! Men eat dairy products susceptible to testicular cancer

A new study shows that Canadian men with a relatively high intake of dairy products have a higher risk of testicular cancer.

Through a dietary questionnaire with 69 questions, the researchers collected dietary information from 601 patients with testicular cancer and 744 ordinary men; the data covered 17 major categories of food, 15 nutrients, and 4 specific foods.

Researchers at the University of Ottawa, Canada, found that among those surveyed, those with higher amounts of dairy products had a higher risk of testicular cancer. Especially those who eat high cheese, the risk of testicular cancer is 87% higher than the average person. Among all participants, the amount of meat consumed for lunch was also highly correlated with the incidence of testicular cancer.

The researchers did not find any correlation between the 15 nutrients investigated and the probability of having testicular cancer; however, carbohydrate intake was slightly associated with one of the testicular cancers. However, the researchers concluded that although current research shows that the intake of dairy products may be related to the increased probability of testicular cancer, the role of dietary structure in testosterone cancer needs further study.
