In order to protect the enthusiasm of farmers for grain production and promote the development of food production, the state continues to implement the minimum purchase price policy in the main wheat production areas and appropriately raise the minimum purchase price in 2013. Upon approval of the State Council, the minimum purchase price for wheat (third class) produced in 2013 was increased to 112 yuan per 50 kg, which was an increase of 10 yuan over 2012.
