High temperature season grape heavy fertilizer water

In July, grapes enter the fruit enlargement stage and gradually mature. The period one month before harvest is crucial for achieving high quality and high yield. Effective management of fertilization and irrigation becomes essential during this time. Timely fertilization is key. Nutrient supply should generally be applied once during the early stages of fruit coloring, with a focus on phosphorus and potassium. A compound fertilizer containing potassium sulfate can be used for soil application. Alternatively, foliar feeding can be combined with pest control, which helps enhance leaf and fruit nutrition. Spraying with a 0.5% to 1% solution of potassium dihydrogen phosphate is recommended, and this can be done up to three times. To improve the storage ability of grape berries, calcium-based foliar fertilizers such as Tricor Calcium Treasure (diluted 1000–1200 times) can be sprayed continuously in the month before harvest. This significantly increases the calcium content in the berries, enhancing both quality and storability, while also helping to prevent cracking. Water management must be carefully controlled in the month prior to harvest to ensure fruit quality. Excessive irrigation should be avoided to prevent a decline in quality. Before heavy rains, special attention should be given to flood prevention. For varieties prone to cracking, measures like mulching or covering with grass can help maintain a balanced moisture level in the soil, reducing the risk of damage. Proper water control not only supports fruit development but also contributes to better overall vine health and productivity.
