The solvent vapor is cooled by a high-efficiency glass condenser and recovered in a collection bottle to greatly increase the evaporation efficiency. It is especially suitable for the concentration and purification of biological products which are easily decomposed and degenerated by high temperature.

Third, the instrument installation

1. Place the rack close to the water source and firmly on the workbench. If it is not flat, you can pad four rubber feet.

2. Install the electric control box pole and electric control box on the frame, tighten the fixing nut wire, and connect the motor coreless plug.

3. Install the condenser retaining clip on the vacuum gauge pole, then install the vacuum gauge pole on the frame and fix it.

4. Install the gas cylinder on the machine head.

5. Connect the condenser to the gas cylinder and support it with a bracket. Install a special PTFE gasket at the joint.

6. Connect the collection bottle to the condenser, hold it with the bracket, and install a special PTFE gasket.

7. Insert the main condenser on the condenser and fix it with a clamp.

9. Install the rotating bottle on the machine head and press the locking button on the machine head to lock the rotating bottle.

10. Place the water bath under the rotating bottle and add water to the 2/3 pot. Adjust the bath height.

11. Use a vacuum hose at the suction pipe, connect the connector above the vacuum gauge, and connect the vacuum pump to the other connector.

Precautions:

1. Each glass piece should be cleaned before installation.

2. A small amount of vacuum grease is applied to each standard port and sealing surface to increase the airtight type.

Fourth, the method of use

The evaporation rate of the instrument depends on three:

1. The better the vacuum, the faster the speed, and the degree of vacuum when the water evaporates should not be less than 0.096 MPa.

2, the higher the temperature of the water bath, the faster the speed, generally not more than 80 degrees, according to the process requirements.

3. The lower the temperature of the cooling water, the faster the speed and the better the cooling effect.

(1) Operating procedures

1. Vacuuming, after opening the vacuum pump, it is found that the vacuum is up and down should check whether the bottle mouth is sealed, whether the vacuum pump itself leaks, whether the sealing ring at the rotating shaft is intact, and a vacuum switch in the external vacuum tube can be finely adjusted. Recovery rate and evaporation rate.

2. Feeding: Using the system vacuum negative pressure, the liquid material can be added to the material inlet to draw the rotating bottle with a hose. The liquid material should not exceed half of the rotating bottle. The instrument can be continuously fed. When feeding, please pay attention to: turn off the vacuum pump, stop heating, and slowly open the feeding tube cock after the evaporation stops to prevent backflow.

3. Heating: The instrument is equipped with a specially designed lifting water bath. It must be energized first. The temperature control scale can be referenced from 0 to 90 degrees. Due to the existence of thermal inertia, the actual water temperature is about 2 degrees higher than the set temperature. The set value can be corrected when using. If you need water temperature of 40 degrees, you can set the temperature controller to 38 degrees. For accurate water temperature, please measure it directly with a thermometer. Rotate flat into the water 1/3 - 1/2. Use the connector to remove the power plug.

4. Rotate: Turn on the electric control box switch, adjust the knob to the best evaporation speed, and avoid the water bath vibration fluctuation.

5. Turn on the cooling water.

6. Recovering the solvent: Turn off the vacuum pump, open the feed switch to deflate, and open the discharge piston to release the solvent in the collection bottle.

1. About the degree of vacuum:

Vacuum is the most important process parameter of a rotary evaporator, and users often encounter vacuum problems. This is often related to the nature of the solvent used. Biochemical and pharmaceutical industries often use water, ethanol, acetone, acetic acid, ether, petroleum ether, chloroform, toluene, etc. as the solvent, while vacuum pumps are generally not resistant to strong organic solvents, and special vacuum pumps are available. . (Recommended to use water circulation vacuum pump, available from the company)

A simple method of checking whether the instrument leaks air—pinch off the external vacuum tube and observe the vacuum gauge on the instrument. It can be kept for five minutes without losing. In the event of a leak, check that the seals on each seal joint and the rotating shaft are valid (see Maintenance). Conversely, the instrument is normally checked for vacuum pumps and vacuum lines.

2, about the heating of the motor

The motor of the instrument adopts three-phase, 220V special motor, E-class insulation, the winding adopts polyester high-strength enameled wire, the use environment, altitude does not exceed 1000 meters, the ambient temperature does not exceed 40 degrees, and the surface temperature of the motor is continuously used (motor surface temperature and environment) The difference is not more than 45 degrees. It is normal and can be used safely. If the temperature rise exceeds 45 degrees, check the relevant transmission lubrication system.

Fifth, maintenance

1. Glassware: After severe dirt, it can be cleaned with dilute sulfuric acid.
