How to manage vegetative growth

Typical symptoms of overgrown vegetative cotton fields are: (1) Leaf hypertrophy, dark green color, high leaf area index, relatively flat and overlapping cotton leaves, unpleasant cotton fields, poor ventilation and light transmission, (2) long internodes, and more fruit branches On the move, the buds are small, easy to fall off, and the bell is also small; (3) reproductive growth lags behind, the growth period is delayed, and the flowering period has just entered the middle of July.

The main causes of vegetative overgrowth are soil fertility, excessive nitrogen nutrition, or intercropping with garlic and melon, or cotton cultivation in oysters, or application of more chemical fertilizers or density after organic fertilizers are applied. Large mismanagement of seedlings, etc.

In contrast to over-promoting cotton fields and over-weak cotton fields, the risk of management is greater. Sometimes, the more strengthened management is, the more opposite it is. In the case of excess nitrogen, it is not enough to rely solely on chemical control measures. Because the cotton fields were poorly ventilated and light-transmitting, excessive chemical control caused the upper section to fail to open, which further deteriorated the environment of the cotton field. Moreover, the original leaf function was strong, and the leaf function would be further prolonged after chemical control, which was not conducive to late yellowing. Therefore, comprehensive measures must be taken:

(a) increase the application of phosphate fertilizer. If the soil can be topdressed, the quality of superphosphate in the immediate Mushi 30-40 kg will be used to consume excess nitrogen and promote the conversion of cotton plants to reproductive growth. If soil fertilization is not possible, 3% concentration of superphosphate should be sprayed. Fertilizer, 25 kg per mu spray, spray once every other day, even spray three times; avoid topdressing nitrogen fertilizer and nitrogen fertilizer.

(b) Prevent water accumulation. Since the northern rainy season is approaching, it is necessary to clear the drainage system before the rainy season so as to avoid accumulation of water in the cotton fields or at the floodgates. Otherwise, it will further worsen the environment in the cotton field and increase the shedding of bells.

(c) Manually go to the leaves. In the cotton fields where the leaves are too much and too large, the depressing cotton fields must be decisively removed from the middle of the main trunk of 3-4 pieces of loquat leaves, while eliminating useless crazy loquat, empty branches, artificially reduce the leaf area index, promote cotton air ventilation, for the cotton The flowering and belling in the middle of the plant create favorable conditions.

(d) deep-rooted. If the adoption of the above three measures does not work, it means that the water and fertilizer from the roots of the cotton plants are still too much. Only the roots between the lines are deeply cut and the supply of water and fertilizer is cut down to a depth of 12-15 cm.
