Acidosis is a common disease in summer chickens, but it can cause a small amount of deaths, but it can lead to the loss of the entire population. Therefore, summer chicken must be strictly prevented from acidosis.
Symptoms of acidosis: After the chicken has developed acidosis, chickens often have purple-brown crowns, stray dullness, drooping wings, fluffy feathers, greatly reduced appetite, and even food refusal. Hand pressing the capsule, some empty, some full of liquid. When the chicken is poured, the foamy, sour liquid will flow out of the mouth, and chickens with severe illness will also become coma or die.
Preventive measures: The measures to prevent acidosis are to feed chickens without fever or fermented feed. The principle of feeding less ground and leaving no leftovers should be the principle. Tableware should be brushed and regularly sterilized to keep chickens clean and free from pollution. . Each time the preparation or purchase of feed should not be too much, store the warehouse of the feed should be kept dry, ventilated, cool, to avoid mildew feed. Those habitually fed with wet materials to feed chickens should, as appropriate, change their feed to dry materials. Fresh water can be placed at the side of the trough to allow chickens to drink freely.
Treatment measures: Once acidosis occurs in chickens, feeds should be immediately stopped for febrile spoilage, and then treated according to the severity of the poisoning. For chickens with less acidosis, prepare 2% baking soda for free drinking. For chickens with severe acidosis, baking soda powder should be fed in time, 2 times a day, 5 grams each time. For chickens with severe acidosis, small operations should be performed in time. The sac should be cut with a sterilized blade to remove the contents of the sac. The sac cavity should be washed 2 to 3 times with 2% baking soda. After suturing 6 ~ A small amount of glucose is fed for 12 hours, a small amount of concentrate is fed within 3 to 5 days, and then reared as usual.
