Peanut Moomin Crushing Feed

It is a pity that some farmers often discard peanut vines after harvesting peanuts. In fact, peanut vines are good livestock and poultry feed after being crushed.

It was determined that dried peanut vines contained 46.8% of sugar, 12.2% of crude protein, 2% of crude fat, 2.8% of calcium, 0.1% of phosphorus, 0.4% of lysine, 21.8% of crude fiber, and 1 kg of peanut vines. Energy is equivalent to 0.6 kg barley. It can be seen that the energy, crude protein and calcium content of peanut vines are relatively high, the crude fiber content is moderate, and various nutrients are relatively balanced. In many crop straws, the comprehensive nutritional value of peanut vines is second only to alfalfa meal, which is significantly higher than that of corn stalks and soybean stalks. In addition to good nutrition, due to the soft and palatable texture of peanut vines dried and crushed, pigs, cattle, sheep, and rabbits love to eat after mixing with other feeds.

With peanut vines as feed, it should be noted that after the peanuts are harvested, the vines should be spread out and dried in time, not stacked and stored so as to avoid heat and mildew. After the peanut vines are dried, remove the impurities and soil, and crush them and mix them directly into the feed. The amount of peanut vines added in various animal feeds is generally 10% to 15% for pigs, and about 40% for cattle, sheep and rabbits.

In addition, the fresh peanut vines are chopped and packed in sealed plastic bags or other containers for compaction. The silage is fermented for 40 to 50 days to feed again, resulting in less nutrient depletion and better feeding effect.
