First, confirm the preparation of the ball valve before installation

1. Ensure that the ball valve is installed in the coaxial position. The two flanges on the pipeline should be parallel. Confirm that the pipeline can withstand the weight of the ball valve. If the pipeline cannot be considered to bear the weight of the ball valve, the pipeline should be equipped with corresponding support before installation.

2. Confirm whether there are impurities, welding slag, etc. in the pipeline, and the pipeline must be purged.

3. Check the nameplate of the ball valve and operate the ball valve fully open and closed several times to confirm that the valve can work normally. Then check the details of the valve thoroughly to ensure that the valve is intact.

4, remove the protective cover at both ends of the valve, check valve body is clean, the cleaning body cavity, the sealing surface of the ball is a ball shape, even small debris may also cause damage to the sealing surface.


Second, the installation of the ball valve

1. Any part of the ball valve can be installed at the upstream end. The handle ball valve can be installed at any position of the pipeline. If the ball valve of the actuator (such as gearbox, electro-pneumatic actuator) is configured, it must be installed vertically. In the horizontal position.

2. Install a gasket between the ball valve flange and the pipeline flange according to the pipeline design requirements.

3. The bolts on the flange should be tightened symmetrically, successively and evenly.

4. If the ball valve adopts pneumatic, electric and Other actuators, follow the instructions to complete the installation of the air source and power supply.

Third, the ball valve after the installation inspection

1. After the installation is completed, start the ball valve to open and close several times, it should be flexible, the force is even, and the ball valve works normally.

2. According to the design requirements of the pipeline pressure, the sealing performance of the joint surface between the ball valve and the pipe flange is detected after the pressure is applied.

Fourth, the maintenance of the ball valve

1. The ball valve can be disassembled and disassembled only by the pressure before and after the ball valve is removed.

2. In the process of disassembling and reassembling the ball valve, it is necessary to protect the sealed parts, especially non-metallic parts, such as O-rings and other components.

3. When the ball valve body is reassembled, the bolts must be tightened symmetrically, gradually and evenly.

4. The cleaning agent should be compatible with the rubber parts, plastic parts, metal parts and working medium (such as gas) in the ball valve. When the working medium is gas, the metal parts can be cleaned with gasoline (GB484-89). Non-metallic parts are cleaned with purified water or alcohol.

5. The individual parts that have been disassembled can be cleaned by dipping. Metal parts that have been left undecomposed by non-metallic parts can be scrubbed with a clean and fine cloth impregnated with a cleaning agent (to prevent the fibers from falling off and sticking to the parts). Remove everything that adheres to the wall when cleaning

Grease, dirt, accumulated glue, dust, etc.

6. Non-metallic parts should be taken out of the cleaning agent immediately after cleaning. Do not soak for a long time.

7. After cleaning, it needs to be assembled after the wall cleaning agent is volatilized (can be wiped with silk cloth without dipping cleaning agent), but it should not be left for a long time, otherwise it will rust and be polluted by dust.

8. New parts should also be cleaned before assembly.

9. Lubricate with grease. Grease should be compatible with ball valve metal materials, rubber parts, plastic parts and working media. When the working medium is gas, for example, special 221 grease can be used. Apply a thin layer of grease to the surface of the seal mounting groove and apply a thin coat to the rubber seal

10. Metal debris, fibers, grease (except for the use) should not be allowed to be contaminated, adhered or stuck on the surface of the part or enter the inner cavity.
