The number of products obtained from sieving is always one more than the number of sieve surfaces used. Each product can be represented based on the mesh size of the corresponding screen. For example, if there is only one sieve surface with a mesh size of d, the top product is denoted as "+d" and the bottom product as "-d." If there are two sieve surfaces with mesh sizes d1 (larger) and d2 (smaller), three products can be obtained: "+d1," "-d1+d2," and "-d2." Intermediate products can also be expressed as "d1~d2" or "d2~d1." This method can be extended for three, four, or more sieve surfaces, following the same logical pattern.
