2, adjust the current limiter. Allow the battery to be in a half-discharge state (If the power is sufficient, use an electric starter to start the generator 2 or 3 times). Use a wooden block to insert the voltage regulator between the active arm and the core to close the regulator contacts. Loss of pressure regulation. Then increase the engine speed to medium speed, then the current meter pointer current value should be 3/4 of the specified value. To continue to increase the speed, and the current value indicated by the ammeter no longer increases, and there is a weak spark between the current limiter contacts, it should be considered normal.
3, adjust the regulator. A wood chip is inserted between the movable arm of the current limiter and the iron core to close the contacts of the current limiter. The generator is operated at a medium speed, and the elastic force of the spring is changed to adjust the terminal voltage of the generator. If the battery is depleted, the ammeter indicates about 12a (loss of charge). If the battery is fully charged, the ammeter indicates approximately 8a, and the terminal voltage of the generator approaches the standard value.
