There are roughly three reasons why the tractor is underpowered: the engine is weak, the drive belt slips, and the clutch slips.
How to distinguish between the above three conditions? We can use the throttle, clutch, and brake to perform the diagnosis after the tractor is started.
1. Start the engine and disconnect the clutch. After putting on the gear, step on the brake pedal so that the vehicle is in a braking state. After increasing the throttle, slowly engage the clutch. At this time, the diesel engine is emitting black smoke and cannot increase the speed, or even turn off the engine, indicating that the engine is weak.
2. Start engine separation clutch. Put on the brake and step on the brake pedal to make the vehicle in braking state. After increasing the throttle, slowly engage the clutch. At this time, the diesel engine is running normally, and the tractor has a tendency to go forward, but there is a scorching smell of rubber and a “click†sound indicating that the drive belt slips.
3. Start the engine and disengage the clutch. After putting on the gear, step on the brake pedal so that the vehicle is in a braking state. After increasing the throttle, slowly engage the clutch. At this time, the diesel engine and the transmission belt are all working properly, and the tractor is still not moving and there is abnormal sound, indicating that the clutch slips.
