Harvester track use precautions

Track tension should be moderate. After the rack is propped up, the gap between the inner side of the track and the middle load wheel is preferably 13-18 mm. After replacing or disassembling the track and working for 20 hours, check that the tension of the track is adjusted so that it is normal. Tightening of the tension tends to strip the crawler belt. Overtightness will cause the crawler to stretch and the pitch will change, causing accelerated wear of the iron teeth and the drive wheels.

The track drive wheel must be replaced in time after wear to prevent the worn drive wheel from catching the track core iron.

Because chemicals, oil, sea salt and other corrosive substances will accelerate the crawler aging and reduce the service life of the crawler. Therefore, when the oil is not used or attached for a long time, clean it with water, avoid direct sunlight and rain after drying, and loosen the tension of the crawler belt. Avoid fatigue when not in use.

Minimize travel on gravel, gravel (rebar, stone) roads. Do not make a sharp turn during the walking process. A sharp turn may cause a wheel to slip off, which may cause the guide wheel or the slip-off rail to strike the core iron and cause the core iron to fall off or break.

It is forbidden to walk across the bridge to prevent walking on bumpy roads and place the track in a partially grounded state. The bridge-type walking can easily cause the track to take off the wheel, so that the pattern damage and iron core break.

When the load roller rotates on the rubber, foreign matter such as dry mud or pebbles is attached to the rubber roller, which can easily damage the rubber surface (called “water bug” phenomenon), and eventually lead to the exposure of the internal core iron. The longer it takes, the more severe it is. Therefore, the dry mud accumulated in the load roller groove must be cleaned in time.
