Fruit tree protection measures

Tree protection is an important technology to ensure the longevity of fruit trees and high yield. It is necessary to do a good job in the following three aspects of protection measures: First, treatment of trunk wounds. Wounds caused by whatever reason should be protected and treated in time to prevent expansion and promote healing. First, the surrounding tissues of the wound were shaved and flattened with a knife to make the edges of the skin smooth and tidy, then sterilized with a 0.1% mercury-mercuring solution, or sterilized with Bordeaux slurry or lime sulfur stock solution. In order to promote wound healing, apply a 0.01 to 0.1% a-naphthylacetate ointment. Second, fill the tree hole. Some wounds are poorly protected and poorly healed, causing xylem decay and the formation of tree holes. In severe cases, it also destroys the transmitting tissues, making it impossible for the nutrients in the water to operate and endangering the life of fruit trees. At this time, remedial measures must be taken promptly to prevent the tree holes from expanding. The method is to remove the decayed wood inside the hole and the hole first, disinfect it with chemicals, and then use cement gravel to add water to reconcile and fill the cave. Third, hanging sticks and branches. In order to avoid wind blows and branching due to wind and fruit weight and cause tree lodging, on the basis of using the correct pruning method to improve the tree structure, the fruit trees should be protected by hanging and spreading branches. When there are too many results, a central pillar (close to the center trunk) is set up inside the canopy, and then the rope is used to guide the branches and lift the branches to keep the balance of the tree and prevent the wind from shaking off the fruit and breaking the branches. The time for suspending the branches is best performed when the fruits begin to droop rapidly and the branches are pressed down too late. The operation is inconvenient. The premature fruits are still small and it is not easy to choose the target. In the case of a short crown and a partial result, one can use the pillars to hold the big branches under heavy pressure, and the support point is consistent with the center of gravity of the big branch. Sometimes the trunk is tilted, and the ground stakes or pillars should be set up to prevent stretching.
