Scientific name: Plumbago auriculata

Alias: Blue Flower Dan, Blue Jasmine Family: Blue Snow Branch

Morphological characteristics: Evergreen shrubs, 1–2 cm in height, branches with furrows, initial erection, and prolapse afterwards. Leaves alternate, oblong or oblong-ovate, 2-6 cm long. Spikes terminal or axillary, calyx with viscid glandular hairs; corolla salverform, light blue, tube ca. 3 cm, capsule saccate.

Distribution of origin: native South Africa. Now cultivated everywhere, common open cultivation in southern China, northern greenhouse cultivation.

Ornamental applications: Southern can be used for fences or planting tree margins, lawns, and more potted plants in the north. It is an excellent flower for summer.
