Pork prices rose 3.4% last week

According to statistics released by the Ministry of Commerce on the 5th, last week (June 27-July 3), pork and white striped chickens were up 3.4% and 0.5% respectively from the previous week, which was a decrease of 1.1% and 0.1% from the previous week. Garlic prices have dropped by 16.4% since last week. The price increase of edible agricultural products monitored by the Ministry of Commerce has been reduced, and the prices of production materials have continued to fall.

Meat prices fluctuated slightly last week. With the exception of pork, lamb was up 0.4% and beef was down 0.2%. The average wholesale price of 8 kinds of aquatic products rose by 0.6%, and the retail price of eggs rose by 0.1%. The retail price of grain and oil rose steadily, with rice and flour rising by 0.4% and 0.2% respectively; rapeseed oil and peanut oil rose by 0.3% and 0.1% respectively; soybean oil was basically the same as the previous week. The production and transportation of vegetables gradually resumed. The average wholesale price of 18 kinds of vegetables was basically the same as that of the previous week. Garlic, potatoes, and onions dropped by 16.4%, 7.8%, and 7.8%, respectively. Cabbage and rape rose by 14.3% and 9.8% respectively.
